About Us

R9Films is an Independent film, graphic design, and web development group based from our homes across the coutry. We currently have about 20 of us collaborating on projects in jQuery, graphic design, and Objective C programming. In essence, we're a group of friends working on things we love, for people like you.

Who We Are

We're just friends, but the owner of the domain name, and the ruler of all things site-related is R9Films, (Real name Grant) from New York. Everyone else is scattered across the nation, in places like Florida and even Kentucky. Some of us are Adobe Certified, some of us have extensive experience in programming. Either way, we know what we're doing.

Why "R9Films"?

The simple answer would be to tell you how the name came about: Take the first and last letters from the infamous Beatles song, "Revolution 9" and add what we make to the end of it, and *ta-da!* You've got R9Films. We'd like to say there's some significance to the title, but we have yet to decide upon it...

Services

R9Films is a non-profit organization, and the things we provide are mainly released under the Creative Commons License for use by everyone. The stuff we make ranges from music, graphics and videos all the way to python scripts and Javascript files. It all depends on who the creator is, and what license it's released under.

Even still, I'm convinced that CSS is going to have to be updated in every browser eventually, before they fall obselete. But that doesn't even matter. To me, and to most web designers, any browser beyond Firefox, Chrome, and Safari are just not worth the extra compatabilty work. So, why not... Read Full Article >
